Bed sizes

UK bed sizes

UK bed sizes were traditionally specified in feet and inches, though metric bed sizes are becoming commonplace. The metric sizes are almost identical to the traditional sizes, and the difference is unlikely to cause any problems

European bed sizes

Note that IKEA sell beds and mattresses in European sizes, even in the UK. Mixing beds and mattresses from IKEA and other UK suppliers may work, but is likely to cause problems—check the dimensions carefully.
